Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years. - Revelation 20:6
ABOUT US
Resurrection Catholic Cemetery is a place of faith and a testimony to the Christian belief in life after death. It is a place of honor and respect for those who have died and a memorial to all who are interred there.
Our History
St. Peter Parish of Jefferson City established its own parish cemetery shortly after the current church opened in the 1880s. As Immaculate Conception and, later, the Cathedral of St. Joseph were created to accommodate the growing number of Catholics in Jefferson City, a new cemetery was needed.
Our shared faith is the basis for all we do. All deceased – interred or entombed – are laid to rest in consecrated ground.
Saying the final goodbye to a loved one is hard. We are here to help every step of the way.
Diocese RESOURCES
As pilgrims on a journey, we are guided by the Holy Spirit to know and serve the Lord, by reaching out to others in love and service. The Diocese of Jefferson City offers these resources to parishioners to enrich their spiritual life, enhance their knowledge and form them as missionary disciples.
